For us, sustainability means consideration for current and future generations as well as taking long-term responsibility in our daily operations. We want to combine social responsibility, environmental consideration and long-term profitability. We work systematically to reduce our environmental impact and find opportunities for a faster transition. We do this by constantly starting from our sustainability work, which is characterized by the three parts below.
Since our start in 2018, we have worked systematically with sustainability issues to take advantage of opportunities from our business model and reduce negative impact. Our business is characterized by the power and spirit found in Gen Z. In our work, we often emphasize that what we act on and change today, will create change for our future generation. In fact, many of us at RedLocker are young ourselves and environmental sustainability issues are equally as important to us. It is our future society we are working to change.
I feel proud of what we have achieved so far and the careful responsibility we take to work to be a serious and conscious supplier. But I also look forward to continuing to develop and what we will achieve in the coming years.
Liza Eriksson CEO, RedLocker AB
RedLocker was the first company in Sweden to launch a solution for free menstrual products in schools and workplaces. The core of RedLocker's business concept is to increase equality, which means that all of our work is underpinned by the vision of achieving the UN's global sustainability goals, specifically Goals 3 & 5. RedLocker conducts extensive work to influence and change the view on menstruation and women's health-related issues, which contributes to spreading knowledge about gender equality both directly to our customers but also to users of our products and other stakeholders that RedLocker comes into contact with. RedLocker is a relatively young company and a healthy economy is a prerequisite for our long-term success. Our work is characterized by business ethics and our collaborations with customers, suppliers and partners are characterized by our four core values below. Our pricing, our wage setting and all business we do take place on market terms and we strive for healthy profitability and long-term relationships with all our business partners.
In order to best help our customers create equal and inclusive businesses, it is required that our employees are offered a workplace that can set a good example, based on a pleasant working environment based on good working conditions. In order to take responsibility and live up to this, we start from our three basic pillars: Continuous skills development, inclusive company culture and healthy work environment.
Our company's work environment works towards being open and pleasant so that everyone gets equal opportunities to develop within their respective roles and also as individuals. Together with a dedicated team, we are on an important and revolutionary mission - to create the future's equal society. We are a brand and a company that is not afraid to do things differently and that believes in people's differences. We know that we can achieve change by lifting each other up and letting different people's ideas play a role in our work. We strive to be a team that is inclusive and unique, just like our Community is and where people can contribute to RedLocker's story by making it their own through different perspectives, identities and cultures.
We ensure that our sustainability requirements are followed throughout the supply chain through a code of conduct towards all suppliers and subcontractors. We carry out careful selection of suppliers since RedLocker does not currently manufacture its own products, so it is carried out by a Swedish supplier with long experience in the field. In production we do not manufacture any components in plastic and the entire manufacturing process is ensured.
RedLocker sells products that should live up to a long lifetime with our customers, and therefore the demands on quality and functionality are high. Our high quality requirements for the products lead to them having a long service life, which is positive for the environment. In case of complaints, we work with repairs to restore the product's function. In the case of discontinued used products, the products are donated to charitable purposes such as women's shelters and non-profit youth organizations and activities. We ship all products with green alternatives that meet our sustainability requirements.
